Robinson head coach Shaun Blair, who is back for his second season at Robinson after a 13-year hiatus, brings a blend of tradition and fresh energy to the team.Coach Blair recalls last season's challenges, including early injuries with the loss of their starting quarterback in the first scrimmage and a player breaking a vertebra in the opener. Despite these setbacks, the team showcased resilience, turning into formidable opponents as the season progressed. "We have a young but resilient group of players. The future is bright," Blair remarked.

Having rejoined Robinson, Blair has observed that the core traditions of the football program remain strong, thanks to the efforts of his predecessors. "The tradition that I remember from my time at Robinson as an assistant is still intact," he noted. Blair emphasizes the importance of adapting to the players' skill sets each year, a task he feels the coaching staff has handled well this offseason.

The offseason has been a period of growth and preparation for the Rams. A younger group of players has risen to the challenge, training rigorously and turning every position into a battleground. Blair is excited about the prospects, highlighting the depth and competitiveness within the team.

Looking ahead, the schedule presents a tough road for Robinson. Blair describes the Patriot District as a "weekly playoff game," with no easy matchups in sight. The Rams will face strong opponents both within and outside the district, including Madison, South Lakes, and Gainesville—teams Blair expects to make long playoff runs. "All of our games are going to be critical. There are no weeks off," he emphasized.

Replacing key players lost to graduation, such as the Moreland brothers, is always a challenge, but Blair views it as an exciting aspect of high school football. "The fun of high school ball is seeing which kids step up and embrace the opportunity to be the guy," he said.

This season, several players are poised to make significant impacts. Daniel and Jackson Scaperotto are key figures, with Daniel playing Safety and also being a crucial offensive weapon, while Jackson will take on the role of quarterback. Keegan Zylstra, a returning WR/CB, has had an impressive offseason and is expected to elevate his performance even further. Blair is optimistic about this group's potential, believing that the collective effort will outweigh individual contributions.

As the Rams prepare for a demanding season, their blend of tradition, youthful energy, and determined coaching sets the stage for what promises to be an exhilarating journey.
